Two Lights Shoreline, Maine

The Two Lights Shoreline, located down the shore of Cape Elizabeth is a magnificent destination for the entire family to visit.

In all of Maine’s breathtaking rocky shorelines, this destination in particular provided more simplicity, for it’s lack of large rocky cliffs. The active ocean waves pelting against the sturdy rock amongst a cloudy scene ached with intensity, bringing me to moments of deep contemplation.

As we walked across the rocks, you have the option to study thousands of small ecosystems that nestle in all the cracks and crevices. When examining each small pool, we found an array of life such as algae, snails, tiny fish and shells. There was also a seemingly endless strip of pure quartz running along the rocks toward the ocean, that we found absolutely incredible.

The Lobster Shack At Two Lights was closed during our trip, but if we ever make it back, the space looked like a great place to eat and enjoy the scenery. Nearby the food place stood some the intricate wind sculptures.

Lastly, I could not leave without challenging myself to some arm balances on the rocks. This ended our experience nicely, going back to the car with a well-rounded and rewarding experience.
